About Me
I am passionate about advancing child health through prevention, education, and evidence-informed practice. My work focuses on establishing healthy eating habits in childhood to reduce the risk of noncommunicable diseases. Through research and leadership, I bridge clinical care, community nutrition, and health systems improvement.
My Work
My work centers on caring for children from birth through adolescence, addressing both acute and chronic health conditions while placing strong emphasis on preventive health. I am particularly committed to community-based nutrition initiatives that equip parents with the knowledge and practical tools to make healthier choices for their children. I am also passionate about integrating nutrition education into school curricula helping children develop healthy food preferences and lifelong habits from an early age.

Leadership & Health Systems Experience
In addition to my clinical and research work, I have held leadership roles within the public health system. As Medical Chief of Staff at Southern Regional Hospital in Belize, I led quality improvement initiatives focused on strengthening patient care delivery and operational effectiveness.
My health systems experience also includes investigatory work on strategies to mitigate critical medication shortages in public hospitals, reflecting my broader interest in system resilience, access to essential medicines, and sustainable healthcare delivery.
